Review by krysten
For a cheapo conair straightener, this is great. i got it for $20 at target and it was a steal. I have very thick, wavy, and long hair, and with this iron I am able to straighten it in about 8 minutes. It out performs other more expensive irons that i have purchased in the past by far. However, I have had about 4 in the past 3 years, because they break easily.

I was actually given this flatiron as a gift and was hesitant to use it, thinking there would be no way it could be comparible to more expensive irons. I was pleased that considering its price, it works rather well. Generally I only have to run through a piece of hair once (I have thick hair). However, I don’t get that smooth, silky feeling that you normally obtain at a salon (this is despite using professional, protective product, like CHI Straight Guard. I find that the hair is left a little broken/frizzy looking and I have to compensate with more product.

I hated this iron. it was my first and it sucked, it took me hours to straighten my hair. when i was done it looked like crap. the worst flat iron.
Review by Sarah Cowherd
This straightener worked good at first but didn’t do much to my hair later on. Either my hair got worse or the straightener lost its touch..?
Review by Kellie Woodward
I bought my iron at wal-mart and for the price it works.I have thick curly hair and it only takes me about 15min. I have noticed this one seems to do a little more damage to my hair because it gets so hot.For less frizz and more shine try using it with biosilk.

I got this straightener about a year ago. It hasn’t actually caused my hair any damage but it doesnt work very well. It takes a while to heat up and just doesnt work fast. My hair isnt curly, its just wavy. But it took me an hour to make my hair straight last night. My sister, who does have very curly hair, asked me to straighten hers for her and it took me three hours, no exaggeration. the price was low and that was one of the reasons i got it. but it was kind of a waste seeing as it doesnt really work. It is also very big, heavy, and hard to handle.

i bought mine at target for 15 dollars. i have very naturally curly hair, so before i straighten it i must brush all my curls out. it heats up in like 2 minutes, and it does a pretty good job of getting my wave out. its pretty bulky, so it doesnt get to my roots that well. i have to have someone help me do the back, because if i try myself i cant get them very well. i would recommend investing in a smaller one, but it has helped me without me having to spend a fortune. i just brush it out after im finished, and it looks great! gets it done in usually 10-15 minutes. i would recommend this to someone who wants to buy a flat iron under $20.

I got this flat iron as a gift from someone. used it for a year. I loved it!!…

The straightener is the best way to go if your looking for a nice fun straigh hair day!
Review by Kathie Rost
Got this because of the price, I really wanted a Chi. My hair is just a little wavy, so it straightens it just fine. No ability to curl with this, though. I think you HAVE to use a heat-protectant product with this or you’re courting some major damage.

my sister has a straightener from conair. its not this one though. well anyways, i have to say conair does have good straighteners. they may be cheap, but if you’re coping with the current economy status, this is a good straightener. i used to own one. this was my very first straightner…. the memories…lol. its a good flat iron
for some reason, when i rate it does not show up, so ill just tell u what i think:

ive had this straightener for a few years. i have thick, wicked curly hair. first it worked fine, then my hair like stopped responding to the heat, and i had to put the temp. higher and higher. your hair snags a bit when you straighten, so now i have a bunch of little broken hairs around my head. when i tried 2 straighten my pontail the other day, the handle snapped. i guess this might work for people who have already pretty straight hair, but for people with curly hair like me, i suggest you look for another flatiron.

I bought my iron at wal-mart and for the price it works.I have really thick curly hair and also my sister her curl are small but super thick and i used to have chi and it always took my sister to straighted her like 2 hours but when i my iron on wal-mart the price was right and it only takes me about 15min and my sister like 30 min or 1 hour, My iron is super super hot and make a little damages but i finished faster and have less frizzy hair and looks nice and boyfriend loves my hair , if he like it then i like . But this iron really work and i love it , i have this iron over a year and still work as new

Any flat iron by Conair is going to work super well, especially for my hair. I have been using a flat iron by Conair for about 2 years now and I didn’t have any problems with it at all. It is fabulous and all my friends said that my hair is really smooth, silky, shiny, and straight. Buy this product, I would really recommend it.

I actually only got this because it was the cheapest aat the time i was buying and i had forgot my wallet. It does do its job but i can never get the roots. I have very curly hair, Also, it cut my hair quite a bit i had to use some olive oil to repair and protect it. And i got a couple of split ends from using it.
Given its price i say its a good deal.
Review by kayle
it doesn’t straighten my hair very well and it made my sisters hair look dry and burned. when i used it it would pull my hair and create dead ends and fly aways. it is not a good product and it is not quick either. I’d recommend their skinny straighter. and im sure i cant get a refund.
Review by Grace K.
i left another review early. i just wanted to say this straightner gave me split ends and is not worth buying. waste of my time and money.

For a cheapo flat iron and you have the time to spend doing your hair then it does the job. Slow on heating up. Took twice as long as my previous Hot Tools model to get my hair nice and smooth. Sorry Conair but you didn’t sell me on this one. Going to try and find another Hot Tools. I don’t have the time to wait for this one to do the job.

Good flat iron for the price. Better with long/medium hair. I have had it for awhile still heats up well. The grip is loosening.
Review by Jennifer
Decent for the price, not the best choice if you have troublesome hair. If you have fairly straight hair to begin with and just want to smooth it out then it is sufficient. Not so great for thick, curly or wavy hair. I however do like the comb attachment, it is handy and removable if you don’t like it.
Review by Viridiana Carlos
It was an ok straightener but it left my hair puffy every time i used it…but it works great for bangs… exept that it also made me get split ends!!!
Review by Megan
This flat iron was okay. I had mine for about 1 1/2 years and it broke yesterday. I found that I always had to use the turbo setting to get it to work. The comb was really nice, though. If you want a flat iron that works okay, then this one is fine, but if you want one that won’t die so quickly I would reccomend a different one.
Review by Laura
If you are looking to buy a straightener that actually works do not buy this one. I gave my old straightener to my sister and i didnt have one so a friend gave me this one. The second i turned it on i thought something had died because of the smell and when i tried to use it my hair got stuck in the built in brush that does’nt really help!!!!!!!! Do not buy this straightener, I would suggest the remington at target, those are very good!
