Myself, my two daughters and my sister had the experience of testing this product at a kiosk in our local mall. We were very impressed with the performance of the iron on our various hair types (ranging from coarse curly hair to fine straight hair). The iron was easy to handle even for my 8 year old. I asked to have a cold iron turned on to see how fast it would come to temp; within one minute the iron was surprisingly hot and worked effectively in very coarse hair. The high temp seemed to make all the difference. Our hair did not get caught or torn in the iron. We liked the idea that we could use it to straighten or add smooth ringlettes to our locks with no evidence of frizz. We also noted how well it worked without any hair product.
The down side; we found it to be a little pricy. Also the kiosk in our mall is only here until Christmas, making it difficult for exchange or waranty work. After doing some research on similar irons (size, temp range and plate material) I feel that I could very likely purchase another brand getting the same results at a better price. Not able to assess longevity of iron, although the warranty that was offered was acceptable to me. Any professioanl irons I have owned in the past have never survived more than two years anyways (the performance always seems to gradually deteriorate).
The sales personel at the kiosk were excellent and seemed to really beleive in their product.
