I love this smoothing iron. My stylist used it on me and I had to buy it. It straightens your hair without any static afterwards like some other irons.

I love this flat iron. I have always joked with my boyfriend that if the house where to burn down that would be the first thing I would grab!!! The only thing is I have owned 2 in a matter of two years. For some reason they have about a 1 year life and that is it. I am due for another one and I am going to try a new brand that will hopefully give me a longer life for the money.

WAY TOO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT IT DOES. MY CHEAP WALMART IRON PERFORMS THE SAME, AND COST 1/8 THE PRICE. SURE IT LOOKS AND FEELS EXPENSIVE BUT PERFORMANCE IS WHAT MATTERS. ITS GOOD, BUT NOT WORTH THE $140+ I SPENT!

I’ve used this straightner for almost a year. (NEVER WRAP THE CORD AROUND YOUR STRAIGHTNER IF YOU ARE GOING TO SPEND GOOD MONEY ON ONE) It works great, it’s fast and it heats in 60 sec. or less. It leaves your hair looking smooth. No complaints here. Well maybe that it’s a bit expensive. But it’s worth it, if you take care of it.

Works well when it works…I didn’t know it when I bought it, but it has a common problem of getting a short in it. Can’t get mine repaired because they changed manufacturers. When you call PM they try to pretend it’s not a common problem. I guess I’m supposed to believe they changed manufacturers because they made such a great quality product. I am very disappointed that they do not stand behind their product.

I borrowed this froma friend on several occasions and loved it, I can’t afford one right now so I am stuck with borrowing. I would spend the money on this Iron, I have medium thick, wavy hair it can be straightened with a blow dryer and some products but it is not 100% straight and glossy. I used the Paul Mitchell Iron to get the glossy super straight looka dn it worked well. It did not burn my hair even on the highest setting and the style lasted 2 days. I will buy one once I have the money!

i actually went to a paul mitchell school so of course all of our equipment is paul mitchell but i’ve tried the t3 which i sell at work and other top names like the chi and it is still my favorite i’ve had it for 2 years and used it countless amount of times and it is still working fine and quickly heats up!

I had this straightener for over 5 years I loved it, It took it’s last breath about to weeks ago and I have been having horrible hair days. I order another brand on line thinking about a newer model and it blew out in 5 days now I am waiting for that company to refund me my money ……guess what I am order in a couple of weeks? Yeah thats right the Paul Mitchell smoothing iron.

I so loved this product I had bought it from Visbible Changes when I saw how awesome my hair looked, but as another person stated it shorts out something w/ the cord after a year of having it - now I’m in search of another straigtner I’m stuck w/ my Chi turbo, and it does not work at all on my hair. People who do purchase this product will love it, but make sure to keep your receipt because you will have to take it back & get a new one!
It is a great straightner while it last. I have bought 2 Paul Mitchell ones in the last two years because after about a year the flat iron goes bad (they have a one year warranty). They go out right after the one year warranty expires!! I would not recommend this one to anybody!!!!

When my stylist used this flat iron on me it was love at first site. I purchased one immedialty. My hair was soft, smooth, straight in minutes. Thats the part my husband liked -less time in the bathroom on my hair. Although speaking of time if you purchase this product plan on having it for ONE YEAR OR LESS. I had a short in the cord, and no longer under warranty. I seen my stylist a month later only to find her using a different flat iron she tells me it wouldnt stay hot that it has a short in it. So yes this is a “COMMON PROBLEM” I would not recommend this product to anyone unless you have money to burn.

I’ve went through 3 of these straighteners and all 3 had a short in the cord. It works awesome but doesn’t last long and not worth paying almost 200 for it.

I absolutely love my Paul Mitchell. It lasted me 2 1/2 yrs. It is not working now but I want to buy another one. I did not like the price at all. But, I’m a tightwad! I have THICK, wavy, and very very very frizzy hair and this made it smooth, straight, and thin looking. I recommend it for everyone. I miss mine already.

I have had this iron for 4 years now and it is still going strong! I use it a couple times a week and I have thick, frizzy, and wavy hair. This straightner is definetly worth it!

The Paul Mitchell was a great flat iron and left my hair staright and flat the whole day, and I usually don’t get that from other straightners that I have used in the past. It got my roots and didn’t make it look so frizzy.

Well when i first got this product iwas really excited because i had heard soo many godd things about it and the first few months it worked fantastic but it wouldnt neccesarilly straughting more than smooth and silk and then i cost more than the worlds REAL best straightner and on top pf that the first month it already started to get messed up from the ceramic part and after a year the straightner would turn on and off …… it wont last you no later than 2 years. Definitly not buying it aging now that it broke.

My cousin is owns a hair salon and this is the only iron the she allows her stylists to use! It heats up to even smooth the curliest of hair. The price is a little steep but you have to pay for quality!

I LOVE this straightener. It goes up to a high temperature which makes my hair maintain straightness for a long period of time; through wind and humidity. My hair never use to stay straight, and if it wasn’t pin straight, it wasn’t good enough. This straighter is the best.

Well I was totally content with my CHI and thought there was nothing better….especially when mine came with a lifetime warrannty. After lots of arguiung I got the companies to let me try to Paul Mitchell 1.25. I am so excited to use it for my first time today. Wish me luck!

I have used the Paul Mitcell iron and think it works just as well as the CHI but the CHI irons short out too. I have owned 4, 2 of which have shorted out within a year or just over. My current one is 14 months old and I am only waiting until it goes out. It must be something with these companies… and they know we will buy another one.

I have had my PM straightener for almost 3 years now. i love it. To this day it still works like the day I got it. It straightens my hair and it stays straight until I wash it which is like every three days. It gives my hair a glossy look and there is no frizz. I put it on the highest setting snd it still doesnt fry my extremly fine hair. other straighteners ive tried fried my hair quick. I love it and i recommend it to anybody that asks. I know they are expensive but if u shop around u can find them cheaper. When i got mine it was going for 167 dollars online and in retail stores, but i bought mine at a salon for 90 dollars. Its well worth the price.

I don’t know if anyone else had this problem, but the green ceramic coating on mine almost completely wore off within a year or less of owning it! I never had it turned up to the highest heat setting, and I don’t use products on my hair to strip the coating other than root booster. I really expected more from a Paul Mitchell product. Overall however, I thought this straightener worked really well while it lasted…it’s just disappointing that it didn’t last long!
THIS PRODUCT IS HORRIBLE!!! I HAVE HAD IT FOR ABOUT A MONTH AND A HALF AND IT WORKS WHEN IT WANTS TO. THERE IS A SHORT IN CORD AND IT TURNS OFF RANDOMLY. IF I HADN’T READ THE OTHER RATINGS I WOULD HAVE JUST FIGURED I GOT A BAD ONE. SOUNDS TO ME LIKE THERE ARE A LOT OF BAD ONES. ALL OF THE PROBLEMS SEEM TO BE THE SAME THING….THE CORD

After reading these reviews, I know I’m not alone. I have had my PM iron for less than 2 years and the wire is shorting out. For $150 and a one year warranty, that sucks. I just spoke to friend she has the same one. hers does the same thing, what are the odds. I tried calling PM customer service after 4 different numbers, I finally got someone “Penny” and she was basically like sorry. Try finding a small appliance repair place. Thats it? horrible customer service. They should have been recalled.

I am a hairstylist, I have no idea where you people are buying your PM 1.25 flat irons from, but if you are paying more than 100 dollars, you guys are getting ripped off big time!!!!

I don’t know if anyone else had this problem, but the green ceramic coating on mine almost completely wore off within a year or less of owning it! I never had it turned up to the highest heat setting, and I don’t use products on my hair to strip the coating other than root booster. I really expected more from a Paul Mitchell product. Overall however, I thought this straightener worked really well while it lasted…it’s just disappointing that it didn’t last long!

THIS PRODUCT IS HORRIBLE!!! I HAVE HAD IT FOR ABOUT A MONTH AND A HALF AND IT WORKS WHEN IT WANTS TO. THERE IS A SHORT IN CORD AND IT TURNS OFF RANDOMLY. IF I HADN’T READ THE OTHER RATINGS I WOULD HAVE JUST FIGURED I GOT A BAD ONE. SOUNDS TO ME LIKE THERE ARE A LOT OF BAD ONES. ALL OF THE PROBLEMS SEEM TO BE THE SAME THING….THE CORD

After reading these reviews, I know I’m not alone. I have had my PM iron for less than 2 years and the wire is shorting out. For $150 and a one year warranty, that sucks. I just spoke to friend she has the same one. hers does the same thing, what are the odds. I tried calling PM customer service after 4 different numbers, I finally got someone “Penny” and she was basically like sorry. Try finding a small appliance repair place. Thats it? horrible customer service. They should have been recalled.

I LOVE this product. I bought one 5 yrs ago adn it just bit teh dust a couple months ago. I swear by my Paul Mitchell. I have tried imitators ans I have yet to be impressed.

I am a hairstylist, I have no idea where you people are buying your PM 1.25 flat irons from, but if you are paying more than 100 dollars, you guys are getting ripped off big time!!!!
